Rosarot der Beginn, blutrot das Finale: Eine arme Sau wird zum Schafott geführt. Eine grobschlächtige Hand zückt das Messer und stößt es dem Vieh in die Kehle. Blut rinnt warm und dünn den Schweinebauch entlang. Nocheinmal das Fleischermesser gezückt und schon quellen die Gedärme hervor, alles auf einmal - jeder Zentimeter will als Blunz'n enden.
Unberührte Natur und Vogelgezwitscher überall, dazwischen zwei Liebespaare. Wie in einem Heimatfilm der 50er jahre. Bürgermeister und Bankdirektor helfen verschuldeten Bauern, indem sie ihnen Grund abkaufen, ihre Kinder Franz und Hermine sind liiert, der Pfarrer jagt bevorzugt Großwild, am Fenster der Geranienstock. Doch der Dorfidylle folgt eine Katastrophe zwischen Wirtshaustischen und Marienbildnissen.
Guntram, ein reicher junger Stadt-Schnösel verdreht den Dorfmädels den Kopf und stürzt sie ins Verderben, Bürgermeister und Bankchef bekommen es mit dem Gericht zu tun, die Landschaft mittlerweile von Autobahnen zerschnitten: Geschäftemacherei, Eifersucht und Selbstmord anstelle von Heubodenromantik und Kameradschaftsbundaufmärschen. Und Franz, der Bürgermeistersohn, nutzt einen nahem Wald in ganz privater Weise.

Pink at first, blood-red in the final countdown: a poor pig is lead to the scaffold. A coarse hand draws the knife and shags it into the livestocks throat. Blood streams warmly and thinly along the swines belly. The butcher's knife is drawn again and intestines stream already - every inch intended to end up as blood sausage.
Unspoiled nature and bird twitter everywhere with two courting couples in between, like a sentimental movie from the 50ies. The mayor and the director of the bank both help farmers in dept by buying plot from them, their children Franz and Hermine are a hopefull couple. The parish priest prefers to hunt big game, beyound windows geraniums everywhere. But the village idyll is followed by a disaster between inns and pictures of the Virgin Mary.
Guntram, a rich young upstart from town turns the young village girls heads and leads them to disaster, mayor and bank director get in trouble with the court, the landscape is cut up by highways meanwhile: profiteering, jealousy and suicide instead of romance in the hay and marching up of camaraderie. And Franz, the son of the mayor, uses the forest just arround in a very private way.
